Just like the highly anticipated PlayStation 5, the Xbox 2 is also rumored to be released around Christmas period in 2020. However, from lots of the rumors around, the Xbox 2 Scarlet will likely support games at 8K and 120 frames per second.

One thing we do know for sure is that the new Halo Infinite game will launch along with the Xbox 2. Is anyone getting any ideas for what their Christmas list will contain? Some might consider to sell laptop in favor of buying the new gaming console.

The only game that is confirmed for the new Xbox 2 is the Halo Infinite that is set to launch alongside it around Christmas period. The rest of the games we know of are speculative at the moment. However, another thing we know for sure is that there will be no Virtual Reality games released for the new Xbox 2 as Microsoft recently announced that they had no plans to release the Xbox 2 with VR capabilities.

With the recent acquisition of Ninja Theory studio by Microsoft, Senua’s Saga Hellblade II is set to be released on Xbox 2 and PC simultaneously. Senua’s Saga will be released as an Xbox 2 exclusive game.

Another game that is rumored to be released on Xbox 2 but not confirmed is the Dying Light 2 game. The Zombie survival game is one of the most popular zombie games in recent times.

Backward Compatibility

This is probably one of the best features of the Xbox 2. Microsoft confirmed that the console would support games all the way back to the Xbox 360. Though you have to realize that the full compatibility will depend on how much the developers of the old games are willing to support the new game. However, automatically, from the launch day, you are free to start trying out your old games on the new Xbox 2.

Hardware

According to the reports from Microsoft, Xbox 2 is expected to be four times as powerful as the already insanely powerful Xbox one X which already supports playing games at native 4K. The new Xbox 2 is expected to support playing games at 8K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 frames per second.

Raytracing

Xbox 2 is reported to run on the 3rd generation CPU from AMD, which AMD has already said would support Ray-tracing. It is no surprise with how much Nvidia’s Ray-tracing has taken the gaming world by storm that consoles are taking advantage of the technology as well.

Solid State Drive

One of the most talked-about features of the new Xbox 2 console by Microsoft is the highly reduced load times for games on the new console. All thanks to the new integrated SSD, the Xbox 2 is expected to reduce the load times of various games on the platform drastically.
