The Lenovo Yoga C940 is finished with a simple yet refined and beautiful aluminum design.
The laptop comes with a clean outer shell with the exclusion of its Yoga branding at the upper-right corner. It has its Lenovo logo only on the soundbar. The hybrid is available in two colors, the silver color option as well as a dark iron-grey option. Because of the design Yogas are loved and great selling laptops around the world. At least where they can be afforded.
The new Yoga is a bit larger than laptops found in its category and weighs 3 pounds. Its price range is between $1,099.99 to $1,599.99. The laptop comes with two USB Type-C ports and one USB-A port as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has no ports on the right side, the reason being that it’s where the stylus is kept.

• Quite expensive.
Display
The Lenovo Yoga C940 is equipped with a 14-inch touchscreen display packed with 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution. The display quality is stellar, whether you’re viewing videos, images, or software. However, the display has a max brightness of up to 398 nits. This laptop has a brighter display than the average laptop of this category. It’s the same display that’s found on the Lenovo Yoga 920.
Keyboard/ touchpad
The keys found on this laptop are large and moderately spaced, and the curve at the bottom of each key makes for aesthetic design. When I used the keyboard, I noticed the keys were bouncy and quite comfortable to type on after some getting used to.
The touchpad is 4.1 x 2.8 inches and uses Windows Precision drivers. Based on the seamless design of the touchpad, some users might have issues like accidentally right-clicking they meant to left-click. However, this is not a problem because, after one week of use, you’d get accustomed to this change. The touch is spacious hence encouraging the use of gestures with relative ease.
Stylus
A stylus that comes stock is kept at the back of the laptop. The stylus has a total of 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. This is quite high. The stylus charges inside its housing, so it doesn’t require any batteries. The stylus comes in handy when you want to take quick notes or make quick sketches.
Performance
The Yoga is packed with the Intel Iris Plus integrated graphics, Intel Core i7 1065G7, 16GB of DDR4X RAM, and 512GB SSD. It works good under heavy load.
Other performance tests the Lenovo yoga C940 laptop completed include the video-editing test. This test involved converting a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) video format down to Full HD (1920 x 1080) in less than 30mins. That is a few minutes behind an average premium laptop.
During its file transfer test, the laptop completed the transfer of 5GB file size in a record time of 13 seconds. This is good transfer speed when compared against the average of 13.33 seconds in laptops of its caliber.
Final Verdict
The Lenovo Yoga C940 is a beautiful laptop with lit visuals and other features that make it a great for entertainment or work, with the 4K display in particular. So you have it, although it’s a bit expensive, you get what you pay for.
